The first CHANGE PAIN Conference was held on 28 September 2018 at the King's fund in London and was attended by over 130 healthcare professionals. The meeting was chaired by Dr Dominic Aldington (Consultant in Pain Medicine, Royal Hampshire County Hospital) and Dr Martin Johnson (Medical Director, Synexus UK, Co-Chair of Chronic Pain Policy Coalition and RCGP Lead for Chronic Pain) and had an esteemed faculty of speakers.

The conference was approved by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom for 5 category 1 CPD credits and was also accredited by the Continuing Professional Development Certification Service. The 2018 conference was very well received with a feedback rating of 4.6 out of 5 for the overall meeting and 4.5 out of 5 for the likelihood of attendees to recommend future events like this to a colleague.
